Business Continuity Summary Disclosure Statement
Oasis Partners is headquartered in Phoenix Arizona. We chose Phoenix in part because of its stability. Phoenix rarely experiences earthquakes or severe storms. Phoenix has also had very few power or telecommunications interruptions. Our offices are equipped with backup generators and other emergency equipment. We have redundant telecommunications and data storage systems in place.
Oasis is establishing a business continuity plan (BCP) designed to allow Oasis to continue operations in the event of a business disruption. Since the timing and impact of disasters and disruptions are unpredictable, we will have to be flexible in responding to actual events as they occur. With that in mind, we are providing this information.
Our business continuity plan addresses: data backup and recovery; financial and operational assessment; alternative communication methods with clients and employees; and alternate physical location of employees and records.
Oasis recognizes three levels of business disruptions:
Internal disruptions are those that would affect only our offices (for example, an office fire). In the event of a serious internal disruption, operations typically will move either to an alternative location in that city or to another Oasis office.
Local external disruptions are those that would affect certain locations (such as a blackout). In the event of a serious protracted local disruption, operations will move to another Oasis office outside of the affected area.
External disasters are those that would affect an entire region. In the event of an external disaster in which we cannot access our offices, the firm will move to another office outside of the affected area or suspend operations for a period of time.
